Example
Name: Spiderkahn
Language: Mandible Clicks(rhythmic clicks of the mandibles, can be mimicked by chattering teeth), Common(English)
Homeworld: (Pre-Exodus) Planet: Jaris, System: Plagus, Galactic Region: N/A (Post-Exodus) Planet: Spiderria, System: Siper, Galactic Region: Unknown Regions in the Outer Rim.
Biology: Werespiders, capable of shifting between forms. High rate of breeding due to mortality rate. Can live up to 1000 years. Females are aggressive to other females regardless of species with intent to kill. The exceptions are females older then 650 years when the aggression dies with age, mothers to daughter to ensure the species doesn't wipe itself out, and females born with a rare nonviolent gene mutation that suppress the aggression instinct. In terms of raw strength, males are stronger and more agile then females. This is offset by the females being more cunning and deceptive. In human form the canines contain hollow points to allow delivery of Spiderkahn toxin. The toxins have various effects to sleep, paralysis, hallucinogens, and lethal with different results. They can mix toxins to suit their needs. Toxin play is a common occurrence in intimate relationships with Spiderkahn. Spiderkahn are naturally immune to their own lethal toxins save the Arachnid Killer which is a toxin built up to such toxicity it has the ability to kill a Spiderkahn. However it is often a pain to build up to such levels it's used in a life or death situation as a last resort against hostile Spiderkahn. Spiderkahn have a heighened sense of smell and use to distinguish between species before the appearance of said being. They sniff out Dak'kan this way. Their nervous system allows for faster reaction time then the average human allowing them to even sense and reaction to something behind them without looking.
Human form: Height: Varies but males tend to be shorter then females are are proud of it. Often between 4'9" to 6'5" Weight: deceptively heavier despite being small and toned. 180-250 Average. Eye color: varies widely over a rainbow of colors hereditary to the Patriarch of the Web. Example: The Acalan Web has the blood red eyes of Tyler Acalan. This is one of the few marks that set spiderkahn apart from normal humans in human form. Skin tone: Similar shades of human skin tones.
Spider form: Height: Depends on the species. Males are smaller then females. Weight: Depends on the species. Bigger species weight more Eye color: Simiar to that of the human form Body color: Depends on the species. May take the color of the clothing the Spiderkahn was wearing at the time.
Culture and Social Structure: Spiderkahn are a competitive militaristic race due to having fought with the Dak'kan for so long. Most of the economy is driven to producing weaponry and war machines of terrifying power. Force Sensitive Spiderkahn are common and revered much like nobles.
The Spiderkahn Republic is a Matriarchal government led by the oldest females while the males are busy keeping the race from tearing itself apart. The Matriarch is the oldest living female of the race and is the Voice of the People in the government. She has final say over everything and is expected to adhere to the public's options for her decision. The other females are the Voices of Industry. Each one represents a different aspect of the Spiderkahn industry and way of life. They are often nobles who own a piece of industry in their category if not the biggest part of it.
Below the Matriarchy are the Nobles. Those who own most of the race's production and market with different shares in each of it. An example is the Acalan Web. The Acalan Web family has the fifth highest amount of Force Sensitives in it, the number one choice for PowerPaks(blaster ammuntion), and Co-own the second largest orbital drydocks of War Starships(Niks-Acalan). They also have complete control of the DCA, The R&D Labs where equipment is developed for the DCA soldiers, the Cloning Facilities where the clones are cloned, and some of the best training grounds for the Dark Clones. The Acalan Web has no members of it's family in the Matriarchy which is why they are considered nobles and not a part of it. However they do have quite a say in the decisions.
Below the Nobles are The People. These are the everyday citizens of the Spiderkahn Republic and are considered the bulk of the race. The families may contain one or two Force Sensitives but do not have much significance in the hierarchy. The Matriarch is considered the Voice of Her People and is expected to adhere to their desires.
Below The People are The Strands. This is the impoverished level where those fallen from grace end up. It is hard to rise out of this level but is possible should the individual work for it.
Separate from the police force are the Spiderkahn Sententials. This all male group of Spiderkahn law enforcement work to weed out the plots of the female populace and keep them from killing each other. Most importantly to keep the Matriarchy safe and keep them from killing each other if any of the members are younger then 650. While they cannot catch every assassination plot of the common civilians they are quick to catch on to plots against the Matriarchy. If a female is caught by the Sententials they can expect the worst kind of punishment reguarless of age.
Family Webs are grouped based on Surname of the oldest living male in that family. The family is the only place the males are the superior authority. A large family is a sign of productivity and that the family is well off. It's also a testament to the linage in that it will live on despite high mortality rates for the race. Sisters and daughters are dealt with harshly receiving beatings from even the age of 6 upward if they are found trying to kill another. This teaches females to be cunning and not to get caught at an early age. Family from the Parental unit(Mother and Father) Have anywhere from 50 to 120+ children due to the high multiples birth rate for the race. It's rare for a female to have less then three children during pregnancy.
Family is a serious matter. To threaten anothers family member is often a grave mistake by outsiders and results in the entire family coming after them until they are dead. One Spiderkahn female plotting your demise is dangerous enough. If the whole family gets together your demise is certain. It is expected that outsiders defend their family in a similar matter often resulting in blood feuds both inside and outside the race.
Religion: Spiderkahn are very secretive about their religion and often react with hostility to curious outsiders.
History: The Dak'kan and Spiderkahn have been fighting as long as they both can remember. Spiderkahn have a very particular deadly mating season resulting in murders and assassinations with very high casualty numbers when the season is over.
While locked in a deadly stalemate with the Dak'kan, The Spiderkahn braced for the Mating Season hoping it wouldn't weaken their already strained hold on their defenses. Sadly this season took its toll with only a quart of the females left and a sixth of the males dead. The Spiderkahn were forced to abort their military operations, break contact with the Dak'kan, and flee as the Dak'kan overran their defenses. This was known as the Exodus. They managed to enter the galaxy before the hyperspace storms on the edge of the galaxy started and were safely sealed inside cutting off the pursuing Dak'kan. They settled a system inside the Siper System and figured out how to cause artificial hyperspace storms and cut themselves off to create a double barrier. Then they took a breather to regroup, relax, and rebuild from the horrible experience the Exodus had on them. From their hidden little world they watched the events unfold as time went on recording from the earliest known dates by the beings of this galaxy waiting and rebuilding knowing one day the Dak'kan would penetrate the storms and chase them once again.
ROLE WITHIN THE GALAXY: Merely having been observers watching the events unfold they recently took action breaking their hidden veil to attack and repel the Dak'kan.
